Multidose™ molds produce a single gummy or chocolate piece divided into segments by break lines, so a consumer can split one piece into accurate servings. Bold Maker™ engineer this format in 100% platinum silicone and polycarbonate, from 1.5mL segments through to higher volume shapes and bars, for commercial production lines that need dose segmentation built into the product itself.

One piece, multiple doses

Break lines let consumers divide a serving accurately, without separate packaging.

Choosing a Multidose™ format

Small multi-piece

1.5mL to 4mL segments in square, round and oval shapes, with cavity counts from 130 up to 726 on a full sheet pan. The highest output per tray in the range, suited to low-dose products where a consumer splits a piece in half or quarters.

Standard segmented piece

5mL to 15mL in rectangle, round and square formats, typically 40 to 120 cavities. The most common Multidose™ configuration, balancing piece size against throughput for mainstream edible lines.

Ten-piece bar

20mL+ bars divided into segments, in silicone for gummies and polycarbonate for tempered chocolate. Built for products sold as a multi-serving bar rather than individual pieces.

Multidose™ mold questions

What is a Multidose™ mold?

A Multidose™ mold produces a single candy piece divided by break lines into segments, so one piece can be split into separate servings. The format works like a scored chocolate bar applied to gummies and other confectionery, giving consumers portion control without separate packaging for each dose.

How deep are the break lines?

Bold Maker specifies break depth per mold, based on the candy design itself. Deeper break lines separate more easily by hand; shallower lines hold the piece together more securely through packaging and transit.

Can Multidose™ molds run on a depositor?

Yes. Most Multidose™ molds in the catalog are depositor molds, engineered so cavity pitch, layout and tray dimensions match your machine's fill pattern. Tell us what you are running and we will confirm fit or build to your specification.

Are Multidose™ molds available with THC symbols?

Yes. Stock Multidose™ molds are available with state-required THC symbols for Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts/Maine/Rhode Island/Vermont, and Colorado/Florida/New Mexico/Ohio. Other state symbols can be produced as custom tooling.

What is the difference between silicone and polycarbonate Multidose™ molds?

Platinum silicone is used for gummies, caramels and other soft confections, where flexibility allows clean demolding. Polycarbonate is used for tempered chocolate, where a rigid, polished mold produces the gloss and snap that tempering requires. Both are available in Multidose™ formats.

Can I get a custom Multidose™ shape?

Yes. Segment count, break depth, piece volume and overall shape can all be specified. The process starts with 3D CAD renders, usually within a few days, followed by a physical prototype shipped for testing with your own formula and equipment before production tooling is cut.
