Customer Spotlight - Ovedia Artisan Chocolates

Amesbury, Massachusetts.

A small town on the North Shore of Massachusetts, Amesbury, with a population of just over 17,000, has many small businesses, restaurants, and coffee shops catering to it's population. A hub of creativity, it has also been home to Bold Maker since 2020.

Amongst the many places to see around town, there is a stand-out establishment that has been an institution in the town since 2007, and that place is called Ovedia.

Ovedia Artisan Chocolates, to give the place its full name, is a chocolatiers dream, where the team have been dreaming up elegant samples of what can only be described as 'fine-art'. Owned by Chocolatier Antoinette Whitney since 2016, Antoinette has retained the underlying principles of the Ovedia brand - Stay true to the high standards of quality, but add the personal touch.

Antoinette recently agreed to demonstrate our new Dubai Chocolate Bar Mold, a new 10-piece chocolate mold based on the growing Dubai-style trend. Here's how it went;

About Ovedia

Ovedia is a chocolaterie and espresso bar located in the heart of historic Amesbury. Established in 2007, by Barbra Vogel. Named after her grandmother whose kitchen was always filled with heavenly scents and tasty treats. Barbra set out to create a brand that is known for its unique flavor profiles, unmatched taste and true artistry.

In 2011, Antoinette Whitney joined Ovedia and Barbra began training Antoinette in the art of chocolate making known as chocolatiering. By the following year, Antoinette was not only a full-time chocolatier, but she also took on the role as store manager.

Over the next several years the two realized a natural transition happening and in the summer of 2016 Antoinette took ownership of Ovedia. Antoinette plans to stay true to the Ovedia brand and it’s high standard of quality and taste all the while adding her own personal touch.

Introducing the Bold Maker Dubai Chocolate Bar

Bold Maker created the custom Dubai Chocolate polycarbonate mold to meet our customer's needs when they could not find a quality Dubai mold. We were delighted to manufacture a polycarbonate mold solution which produces shiny Dubai bars, and using our polycarbonate expertise, we did just that.

The Bold Maker Dubai Chocolate bar mold contains three cavities, making three seperate 10-piece breakable bars. With a limited release in mid-October, the Dubai mold sold out immediately.
